Academic Regalia

All graduates must order their own regalia. Note that all regalia will be shipped to your home.

Students are responsible for paying the shipping charges, but the cost of the regalia is covered by your graduation fees.

Invitations and Rings

All graduates will also be responsible to order their own announcements and class rings at their own expense and have them shipped to their home. Dress

DRESS: Business casual is required dress for all Commencement participants:

Men: A dress shirt, business trousers, and dress shoes. A suit coat is not worn under academic regalia.

Women: A semi-formal dress, skirt, or tailored pants with a blouse.

ADDITIONAL TIPS:

• Wear breathable fabrics and light layers, especially for outdoor ceremonies
• Choose neutral or muted colors
• Pick shoes that are comfortable enough for walking or standing for long periods
• Avoid flashy or attention-grabbing outfits
• Consider the weather forecast

Hats should be squared on top of head with tassels on the right for those who have not yet been awarded the degree. Those who receive their degrees will be asked to move their tassels to the left side after the President awards the degrees.

After everyone has processed to the assigned places, all should remain standing for the invocation. Men should remove their hats for the invocation. They may wear them again until it is time for the benediction, when they are removed again. Hats should be worn for the recessional.
