Encaenia Details

UNB Fredericton campus will celebrate its 196th Encaenia ceremonies on Wednesday, May 28 and Thursday, May 29 in The Richard J. CURRIE CENTER.

Regalia rentals are available from March 17 to May 16, 2025 before 11:59 p.m. All graduands attending the ceremony are required to reserve regalia during this time period.

Email Order Confirmation Details

When your order is complete, you will receive two emails within 24 hours:

1. The first email will be from Gaspard and contains payment information. If you have used a credit card other than your own, it will show on this confirmation.

2. The second email will be from Build-A-Grad and will contain all the necessary details regarding your rental, pick up, drop off, order number and amount paid, and, if applicable, cancellation and refund information.

The academic regalia will arrive on site in your name.

Regalia Rental Price Information

Online regalia rentals are $60 + tax.

Regalia for Bachelor's and Master's degrees include gown, hood, cap and tassel. The cap and tassel are yours to keep. Doctoral regalia includes gown, hood and beefeater tam, all of which must be returned. Regalia not returned will be charged to the renter.

You must rent your regalia through this site and pick it up at the onside desk on the day of your ceremony.

Payment by credit/Visa debit card requires the correct billing address for AVS (Address Verification Security).

Regalia Pick Up Instructions

Gowns, caps and hoods will be available for pick up from the Alberta Alumni Recreation Centre, first floor, The Richard J. CURRIE CENTER, prior to your ceremony:

Ceremony A - Wednesday, May 28 between 7:30-9 a.m.
Ceremony B - Wednesday, May 28 between 12-1:30 p.m.
Ceremony C - Thursday, May 29 between 7:30-9 a.m.
Ceremony D - Thursday, May 29 between 12-1:30 p.m.

Regalia Drop Off Instructions

Gowns and hoods must be returned immediately following your ceremony to the Alberta Alumni Recreation Centre, first floor, The Richard J. CURRIE CENTER. The doctoral beefeater tams must be returned with rentals. The mortarboard cap and tassel are yours to keep. Regalia not returned will be charged to the renter.

Cancellations

Rental cancellations must be received before May 16, 2025 at 11:59 p.m. Cancellations are not permitted after this date and refunds will not be given. Changes to rental orders may be made online through the Build-A-Grad website prior to May 16, 2025 at 11:59 p.m.
